OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE of INTENT TO BEGIN A SOCIAL MEDIA SUMMER BREAK WITHIN the NEXT 24 HOURS:

DEAR LOVED ONES: Plus Beloved & Estranged Relatives; Friends; Followers; Frenemies; Politically Deranged High School Pals; and the Handfuls of Folk Who Have an Interest in My Creative Output:

THIS IS OFFICIAL NOTICE of my intent to take a break from social media for Summer 2019. This break will commence in the next 24 hours. It will last…..

I’m not sure yet.

Maybe the month of July.

Maybe shorter if I really miss the short, but powerful dopamine hit of your Facebook likes and Twitter hearts and retweets. And I just cannot heal from the ‘Like-Me-You-Really-Like Me-itis’ addiction crisis.

Maybe longer if I really get into actually writing on paper, with, like… a real pen. Which I plan to do in place of scrawling pixels in this vaporous simulacrum of reality called the Internet.

I remember when… Fountain pen image by Aaron Burden | unsplash.com
